Now, I took a picture at a different angle, including the span of the beach and the water, and the horizon, hills and sky... and so I had a different breadth of color. But again, it was a grey day. And so when I did the quick and dirty auto-color correction, I ended up with red sand. I imagine I could take the time to color correct it right, but it was just so strange to me what was happening with the digital photos. I have to wonder what would have happened with film... but that reminds me of a deck of photos I have from a very old trip to Mazatlán. And one to the Bay of Fundy, grey skies do strange things to photos.
